For Birth Control "I have been on this pill since September. Love the low dose hormone vs regular. I don’t feel moody or anxious compared to past pills but I have had a few days where I feel nauseous and can’t figure out why. Not sure if it’s the pill. No side effects except MASSIVE weight gain. My appetite is out of control and I am constantly bloated. I have put on 20+ pounds since I started and am freaking out about it. Not sure what to do, I don’t want to keep gaining."

For Birth Control "I started this pill to alleviate migraines and prevent pregnancy. Overall, my experience with this pill has been wonderful from day one. I don't have any breakouts, no migraines, no weight gain, and I haven't gotten my period once in the seven months I've been on it. The downside: I'm overly emotional. I will cry over a commercial, now. And I'm paranoid all the time of being pregnant."

For Birth Control "48 years old. Was prescribed Lo Loestrin Fe for heavy frequent bleeding. OB told me it might even suppress periods. First cycle, had light discharge for 10 days. Second cycle: nothing, no period! Crossing fingers !"

For Birth Control "Do not base your opinion off of these reviews! It is important to remember birth control works differently for everyone. I was absolutely terrified to go on any type of birth control pill because I find myself prone to side effects with these things and was already having bad anxiety. Turns out this pill completely levelled me out. I haven't experienced any negative side effects at all except for the break through bleeding (which is why I came on this site in the first place). Besides that, nothing. Try it! I feel as though my body actually really needed this, since it seems as though it's actually levelled out my anxiety."

For Birth Control "The very first day I started on this pill I went looking for reviews. To be completely honest I have no idea why I did this because it just scared the crap out of me and made me believe I was going to have some crazy side effects or symptoms. I believe most of us go out of our way to write a review when a product is negative, therefore we see all the bad. From my personal experience this pill was AH-MAZING. Firstly, I was terrified of weight gain. I already struggle to keep my weight low and suffer from a slow metabolism. I have to workout and eat healthily regularly. I have gained no weight. I've had a regular period. No break outs and no long lasting spotting. No sex drive issues. No mood swings. I have been completely unaffected :) y"

For Birth Control "I decided to switch to Loloestrin FE after being on Beyaz for 2 months. I felt fine at the start but by the week before my period I began to feel really down. Then one day I had a panic attack. This has never happened to me before. It freaked me out so I stopped taking it altogether. For the next month I felt ok but by my next period all hell broke loose. What followed was a month of extreme anxiety. I felt as though I was in mourning. I had multiple panic attacks. I went to a doctor and was prescribed xanax. I began looking into psychiatrists and researching anxiety meds, thinking I was broken for life. I took time off work and devoted all my energy to trying to get better. I am pleased to say that 2 months after stopping, I finally felt like me again. This pill traumatized me and greatly disrupted my life. It's especially dangerous for women who are prone to anxiety/depression. If you are experiencing something similar just know that it will be ok and things will get better."

For Birth Control "I'm starting my second month of using Lo Loestrin Fe. I tried other birth control pills at different dosages but they would make me feel really dizzy and sick. My doctor provided me with Lo Loestrin Fe and so far I have not felt as bad as I had before with previous birth control methods. I have felt somewhat dizzy but quickly goes away. The only main concern is why I have not started my period yet. I know the pill can affect your body in different ways but I don't like that you don't know if whether it's because of the pill or if you're pregnant. I have been cramping and have really tender breasts but no period. Don't know if this is normal or not which is why I came to look over these reviews. Looks like it really depends on the person."

For Birth Control "** DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL ** If you have any underlying mental health issues/anxiety or anything I do not recommend this pill at all. I have pretty mild anxiety, I don’t take anything for it, but I do not suffer from depression. I took Lo Lo and immediately, the first day of taking it I got depression symptoms. By day 2 and 3 I had suicidal thoughts and I have NEVER in my life been suicidal. Literally nothing was wrong but I was uncontrollably sobbing every day and having suicidal thoughts. It was the most messed up feeling like I couldn’t even function any more. It took me 4 days to realize it was the Lo Lo so I stopped and I am finally feeling better. I could not believe how awful the symptoms were so I had to leave a review to let anyone considering Lo Lo to know what it can do to your mental health."

For Birth Control "Amazing! The beginning was rough! Nausea, diarrhea, extreme fatigue! But after a month, got used to it. High sex drive! I’ve never had so much sex drive like this before. My boyfriend loves it! I’m very happy with it so far."

For Birth Control "Ladies do not take this medication. The month I began this Lo Loestrin Fe pill my life became a bit of a nightmare. The first month I had spotting every other day then a horrible yeast infection (my 1st one EVER) during my actual period on the fourth week. During the 2nd month I had breakthrough bleeding every other day, a period the 2nd week and another during the inactive week. My mood has been so high and low. I have no desire to have sex whatsoever. I honestly feel really crazy!!! No sleep, no eating, and an overall feeling of dread/failure/sadness. Almost finish with the 4th pack and I lost count of how many blood free days I've had because I've been bleeding ALL MONTH and not little droplets. I'm talking enough to wear a regular tampon. Officially done with this and going to just try the fertility awareness method because no BC seems compatible with my body :("

For Birth Control "I have been taking this for 3 weeks now and have had a light period the whole time. Everyone else is saying the opposite so I'm wondering why my results are different. Maybe I just need to give it more time for my body to get use to it."

For Birth Control "I've tried several types of birth control/contraceptives and this is by far the best. In the past I have had insane mood swings, random periods that last for months, serious weight gain, headaches/nausea, extremely low sex drive, etc. Since I started taking this I feel like a normal person again. I'm not randomly mean to my boyfriend, I want to sleep with him too. I have noticed that since I've started taking this pill (I'm on my 3rd month) I've been able to lose weight a little bit easier, unlike the last pill I took. I will continue taking this. "

For Birth Control "Lo Loestrin Fe is the first birth control I've ever been put on and what can I say? I LOVE IT! Its cleared my face, no weight gain (if anything I've lost a couple of pounds), I have tons of energy, my periods last two days now with no cramping and I don't bleed much, my sex drive is through the roof and its actually making sex feel 10x's better than it used to! Miracle pill I guess or at least that's what my fiance says. It doesn't make me moody, and its not that expensive with insurance. The only con is that for the first few days of using it I had some drowsiness but most new medicines I try make me drowsy. I recommend it 110%!"

For Birth Control "I have had very bad experiences in the past with birth control pills (depression, weight gain etc...). I tried Lo Loestrin Fe after the birth of my daughter and was happily surprised how well my body reacted to it. I took it for 2 years and then stopped as I wanted to have a second child. Will get back to it soon. After stopping it, my periods came back as well as bad PMS. It seems like everyone has a different reaction to it, so I would suggest to test it and see with your OBGYN if this one is good for you. Because when it works it is a true relief to be able to rely on a birth control that your body likes."

For Birth Control "This pill saved my life! I was seeing psychiatrists for 12 years for my suicidal depression and tried all kinds of medicines that didn't work. Sometimes my depression was so bad that I had to be hospitalized a few times. My depression did not respond to antidepressants nor psychotherapy. I felt blue, anxious, suicidal, emotional, and emotionally unstable all the time. Finally I was referred to the obgyn by the psychiatrist. The gynecologist tested my hormones and put me on this pill. I no longer feel depressed or suicidal. The only disadvantage for me is that when the pill wears off I feel horrible. It helps my anxiety too. I haven't felt this great in years!"

For Birth Control "I've never taken birth control pills before. After taking these birth control pills, I've noticed a drastic change in my behavior. It's only been a couple of weeks of taking them and I stopped. I've never felt lethargic and depressed in my life. I've noticed, everything bothered me and I would get upset easily. No desire to have sex at all. I didn't gain weight or breakout but I did crave junk food (which I don't eat). Overall, I guess it depends on the person. As for me, it definitely was a no go!"

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill last October and have not had a period since. I've noticed being extremely tired and moody. I'm not that type of person, also I have NEVER had an issue with weight gain until I started this pill last year, I have very slowly gained 12lbs. I eat very well and, workout and I can't get off even a pound. It's really upsetting. "

For Birth Control "I've been on this BC for three and a half years now and it's been amazing. I was on two other types of birth control before, nuva ring and another oral pill that drove me crazy, nausea, crazy mood swings, cramps, heavy periods, the works. It made me never want to go on BC again but I'm so glad I gave it a second chance. With Lo Loestrin Fe I haven't had any period, cramps, back ache, mood swings, decrease in sex drive, weight gain, or acne. The only problem I've had is that it seems to lessen my appetite so I try to make sure I eat before taking it otherwise I forget. At first I was concerned that I wasn't getting my period but I talked to my Doctor and he said it was fine as long as I was comfortable with not having one."

For Birth Control "I had to leave a review because I almost avoided Lo Loestrin because of the reviews, I took it anyway and I love it. I started it on day one of my period and continued all the blue pills, setting my alarm to take them at the same time every day. There was one day that I took it 4 hours late but all other days were fairly close to the same exact time. The first month I was MAYBE a little down, and a slight headache, maybe. Fast forward to the end of the month and I was feeling great. My period at the end of the month was only a few days of very pinkish spotting only/ extremely light. This is in contrast to usual heavy periods day 2-3 so a definite perk. And I’m not pregnant despite having unprotected intercourse multiple times throughout the month and even every day within the usual fertile window. I’m well into the next months pack now and haven't had any side effects whatsoever and have even lost about 4-5 lbs. I love this pill and will update if anything changes."

For Birth Control "I really like this birth control. I was on Ortho Tricyclin Low for 8 or 9 years. When they discontinued it about a year ago I was pretty bummed. I was given a few different of the generic versions of Ortho Triycyclin Low- but I had bad physical and emotional reactions to them. I asked my gyno for Lo Loestrin and have been really happy with it. I might have initially gained 2-3 pounds (lol or maybe it was just winter fat!) but I quickly got the weight off. Since then I haven’t had a single side effect besides never having my period. I miss the normalcy of it- I guess, and I end up taking a pregnancy test every few months (mostly just cause I’m a little neurotic). But anyways, I really like this birth control over all. I was initially quite scared when I read the negative reviews, so I figured I’d throw a positive review in here to even it out."

For Birth Control "I was on Lo Loestrin Fe for a little over a year. After six months I started getting chronic yeast infections. From January to July I had over 12 yeast infections. I always had a constant uncomfortable itch and I couldn’t find out why. I was in and out of the doctors weekly. I finally thought about maybe it being my birth control pills. Sure enough I found some reviews connecting this Lo Loestrin Fe BC to women developing yeast infections. I also did not have a period and that scared me. I’ve been off of it for THREE weeks now and my yeast infections and itch are GONE! I’m hoping this is helpful! I’m waiting another month before going on a new pill to ensure the hormones are out of my body."

For Birth Control "I wish my doctor would have told me that one side effect (if you can call it that) is NO PERIOD! I've been panicking thinking I'm pregnant and after reading all the comments, this is totally normal! I've been on it for 3 months now and I love it! Now that I know I'm not pregnant! I still get cramps and bloating, a few break outs, but no other side effects. A bit pricy, &75 for three month supply. Hoping my new insurance will cover some of it though."

For Birth Control "I have have been taking Lo Loestrin for 5 months now and only had one short light period, which scares me because I am not used to not having a period. I haven't has any side effects with the birth control. I'm 24 yrs old and about 180lbs, I gain weight very easily with other birth control pills but haven't with Lo Loestrin. I love the pill other than not having a period for 4 months, I'm not sure if that's normal or not, definitely have to speak to the doctor. Lo Loestrin works real well preventing pregnancy, that's the reason I am sticking with it, and plus it doesn't have all these extra hormones like other birth controls."

For Birth Control "Taking Lo Loestrin Fe was not a fun time at all. I only took it for a week and a half and it caused me a horrible yeast infection, made me cry every day, and made my skin break out, as well it made me hungry 24/7 and I gained weight. I don’t recommend."

For Birth Control "Like most of you probably are doing, I took it upon myself to look up some reviews as to how women felt/responded/liked/disliked LoLo. STOP RIGHT THERE. I read nightmarish reviews after I took my first pill and was paranoid I'd experience some of the "symptoms" and "side effects" others did. The day after my first pill I felt sleepy and my body felt weak; aside from that, NOTHING. My transition was seamless. Granted everyone's different, but after feeling no difference I began to think maybe the things said here were all in their heads? I have absolutely no complaints about LoLo. My sex drive hasn't been affected in the slightest, I'm very, VERY big on taking care of my face and skin and I haven't had any acne, pimples, etc... Go for it!!!!"
