For Birth Control "I definitely started noticing that my ANXIETY has been through the roof since I was switched to Blisovi 24 fe. I have never been an anxious person but being a mother of 2 daughters, I just assumed it was normal to be stressed all the time, but it has changed me. I feel like I have developed social anxiety, as well. All of these things that I couldn't explain... Then, I see the reviews at a 3.2!! WOW!! That is the WORST RATING on this site!!!! I am switching to Sprintec today. Please don't ignore your symptoms! If you feel different in your own body, listen to your intuition!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control Blisovi Fe for about 3 months now, and I definitely saw something different in me. For some reason I’ve been very sad lately, as I am already on depression medication (Lexapro) and it makes it 10x worse. Blisovi Fe makes me have very thick ovulation, but when it gets time for me to start my period, it doesn’t start until like the 3rd day of taking the brown pills, and it LASTS FOR 1 day , literally the lightest ever. I mean, it’s good and all but sometimes it scares me with the way my body slowly reacts to it."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Loestrin FE for about 2 years. I had no side effects with this medication at all! So, one day I went to pick up my auto-fill prescription about 2 months ago and the pharmacist informed me that the prescription had been switched to Blisovi, but it's the same exact medication. Oh no it isn't! I've had a headache (varying from severe to mild) every single day. I'm tired, hungry, my back aches more than usual, gained about 10 pounds, broke out on my face, and this headache is a nightmare. I was beginning to think I'm going crazy until I read similar reviews. I was getting so mad over stupid stuff and crying out of nowhere. My boyfriend has handled it like a champ, but hopefully won't have to for long because I'm switching!"

For Birth Control "Before taking Blisovi 24 Fe, I had taken Lo Loestrin Fe for 3 years and loved it! My insurance company stopped covering Lo Loestrin Fe so I switched to Blisovi 24 Fe. So far this pill has done everything I went on the pill to avoid! I have awful cramps, heavy bleeding, sore breasts, acne, mood swings, etc. I have given my body the suggested amount of time to adjust and my symptoms still have not improved. My experience with this birth control was awful and I am just waiting for my appeal to go through so I can get back on Lo Loestrin Fe again."

For Birth Control "I was started on Gildess 1/20 but then was switched to Blisovi after the recall. I absolutely HATE this birth control. Ever since starting it I have been having moderate to heavy periods twice a month. My cramps have been pretty bad too, the last heavy period I had my cramps lasted the entire week as opposed to going away the second day like they normally do. My mood swings are the worst they've ever been and I find myself crying at the drop of a hat and mad at everything. And just as some of the other women have stated, I have been extremely thirsty while on this pill and I can't wait to change it. The only good thing about this pill is that I'm not pregnant. That's the ONLY good thing about it."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for a month and a half after my pharmacy gave it to me, I called to say you gave me the wrong pill (Junel Fe 24 is what I was on) and they said the manufacturer changed but this is the SAME birth control. It's manufactured in India. In a month and a half, I have gained 7-8 pounds. I am very athletic, I eat a plant based diet, I work out, I sit as a job but that hasn't made me gain weight like this. I amannoyed. I worked for 9 months to lose 30 pounds, now I am gaining weight for no reason, crying all the time for no reason, self doubting myself and my poor boyfriends love for me, AND BREAKING OUT which is why I got on birth control in the first place."

For Birth Control "I don't normally comment and I'm only here to see if any reviews talked about getting pregnant after stopping Blisovi (I plan to stop taking it soon to start trying for a pregnancy). However, I wanted to share my experience because it's been much more positive than the other reviews. I switched to Blisovi after taking the Depo Provera shot for about 5 years. While on the shot I was often depressed/anxious and had moderate acne. Once I switched to Blisovi, my anxiety and depression decreased and my face has not been this clear since before puberty (even my acne scars are healing!). I don't take the sugar pill, so I have not had a period while on it (except after my covid shot, which was weird). My weight has been consistent and I have not noticed any other symptoms. I take the pill about the same time every day, plus it minus an hour or two. I haven't noticed any problems if I take it a bit later than usual. I've been on it for about 2 years now. It works for me and my body."

For Birth Control "Pharmacy switched my BCP from Gildess Fe 1/20 to Blisovi. I've gained 10+ lbs in less than 2 months!!! My life style has always been the same - watch what I eat and workout daily. But I was not able to control my body weight. I would NOT recommend this pill to anyone."

For Birth Control "Was on name brand Loestrin 24 when it came out 10 years ago. Switched over to name brand Minastrin chewables since that was the replacement Loestrin. I had no issues or side effects, get my period every so often and it would be very light. Switched insurance at it was $425 for a pack!!! So I called my doctor asking for a generic version and was prescribed Blisovi. The ingredients are identical, but I've been on it a month and a half and have gained 6 pounds. I follow a strict low carb diet and am celiac, so I am able to maintain my weight. Despite what I eat or drink, The weight is piling on and I have been spotting every other week. I've been on BCP for 10 years, you'd think I'd be pretty consistent."

For Birth Control "My Daughter was put on BC to regulate heavy periods and was also switched by pharmacy to this medicine. She has been having headaches, breast tenderness and breakthrough bleeding and sudden outbreaks of acne! I decided to look up reviews and possible comparables and found this site. Thank you all for posting as I will be calling the DR. to switch! Be sure to let pharmacist know when picking up meds, they shouldn't just blindly switch prescriptions without PREVIOUSLY letting patients know beforehand so that we may make an informed decision on what medicines we take!"

For Birth Control "I love this birth control!!! I’ve been taking it for over 2 years now! I also deal with depression and anxiety, but this medication has done nothing to enhance it! I have not gained weight with this pill as I have with others in the past! My hair has changed texture completely and is now shinier and better than it has ever been!"

For Birth Control "Ok. This pill has its ups and downs. The first week of taking this pill... I felt fine. When it came to the end of the month though I was in a downright spiral. I mean wow. I had the worst mood swings on top of already ongoing depression and anxiety. I was crying like crazy and I honestly couldn’t see the good in any situation. I saw someone compare it to having paranoia and , yeah that’s exactly what it felt like. I started taking everything my boyfriend and others said to me to heart and it really put me in a bad place. I confided in my therapist and my gyno to figure out why I was feeling this way and they let me know this feeling was natural and to give it some time. It’s been about 4-5 months on this pill and honestly I feel fine. So if your worried about the mood swings don’t take this pill but if you think you can wait it out I say go for it. It’s been doing me justice this far."

For Birth Control "AWFUL. I NEVER EVER post reviews but felt compelled to write about my experience. I’m 5’5” and have weighed 120 lbs the past 20 yrs. I never dieted or was a health nut about food whatsoever. I typically ate what I wanted to in moderation. After changing to Blisovi I put on 8 lbs in 6 mos and just could not shed the lbs. Clothes that I have worn for 20 yrs no longer fit; my body shape has really expanded in the waist & thighs. My insurance had stopped sending me Junel 24 and substituted this brand. I didn’t think a lot about it at the time as they say the formulation is the same. Finally a month ago I connected the dots and am switching back to Junel 24 FE. I’m hoping my body reverts back to what it used to look like soon. Birth controls affects people differently, but avoid this altogether or have a heightened awareness as to side effects if you start taking it. It’s interesting to read other comments about “brain fog” as well as that has also been a problem for me the last several months."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Blisovi for my excruciating period pain. I would vomit, faint, sweat, cry, and stay in bed in fetal position for 5 days whenever I had my period prior to being prescribed a BC. Blisovi was my first ever BC. At first, I thought this was a magic pill because it took all my period cramps away and had mild period that lasted 3 days. It is almost 1 year on Blisovi, I gained 15+ lbs ( I exercise 4-5x/wk and I have a very healthy diet), I become emotional over any stupid stuff, my face has breakouts to the point I am self conscious (I haven’t had acne since I was 13), I have had high anxiety and stress, I wear glasses and my vision has gotten 5x worse, and the sweaty underarm is the icing on top of the cake. I did not think about all of this until I realized I didn’t have any of these symptoms a year ago when I was not taking Blisovi. As of today, I am stopping this pill, it is not worth it."

For Birth Control "THIS PILL IS THE WORST!!!!! Im a freshman in college and have been on it for almost three months but I'm stopping it today, I can't take it anymore. I am so depressed to the point where I have spent the entire day crying on what is supposed to be a nice and relaxing family vacation!! I have terrible mood swings, gained 10lbs, my skin is breaking out, and gotten depression (which I have had before while not taking BC) which has only been increasing during my time on the pill! I read the terrible reviews and at first thought Blisovi 24 fe wasn't too bad but after three months I am experiencing almost everything that everyone else who hated this pill experienced. The only plus is that my boobs got bigger lol. But seriously do not take this"

For Birth Control "I never leave comments but this I need to with Blisovi 24 FE. I’ve been on this for a month and I have to stop it. This is the only birth control I’ve ever been on and quite frankly I never want to take it again. I took it for heavy bleeding and it made my period last for 2 weeks with still constant spotting. Five pound weight gain, constantly bloated like every day. It has made me beyond emotional and anxious too. I’ve been crying over the silliest things and I don’t feel like myself at all. I will never take this again."

For Birth Control "I've been taking it for about 2 months now. The first month was terrible only because of my body adjusting to the new hormone levels. I had break through bleeding for two week, my breasts were so sore the entire month, and I had cramps/back pains almost every day. My period was a breeze though. No cramps, no breast pain, very light flow, and no acne! My second month has been amazing. It's helped control mood swings and the sense of anxiety and depression I get when seratonin levels drop around my period. The only thing I have to complain about is the sense of bloating I have. It goes away though when I avoid all of the salty foods and processed sugars I crave. Other than that, I really enjoy this product. Everyone's bodies are different."

For Birth Control "Like most people on this thread I've gained weight and thought it was from the holidays and vacations. I've been dieting and working out and the scale has only gone up. I had to switch to this brand bc my other one was discontinued. It's NOT THE SAME! The pharmacy told me it is.... it's not. I'm just realizing this now! Calling my Dr. on Monday to get off this horribleness! I really gave this brand a shot. It's been 3 months and my clothes don't fit me. I'm so upset!"

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Blisovi 24 Fe after my insurance decided not to cover Minastrin 24 Fe. I have taken Blisovi for about 8 days now and I have had TERRIBLE side effects. My breasts and nipples are in extreme pain all day, bad headaches, and today I fainted. Earlier today I was speaking to a peer and all of a sudden broke out into an entire body sweat, got extremely light headed, and extremely nauseous. My blood pressure was taken immediately after my fainting spell and it read 85/60. I'm typically anywhere from 110-115/75-80. I will no longer be taking this medication due to the side effects. I told myself I would try it for a month but after the fainting spell today I will no longer be taking Blisovi 24 Fe."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for 2 years and I am so glad I saw these reviews. I’ve suffered with unprompted anxiety, but I always thought it was normal. I have gained weight, my acne around PMS is absolutely horrible, my back hurts, and the nausea is so hard to manage. I will never be taking this pill again. Please listen to the reviews and know you aren’t going crazy!!!"

For Birth Control "My doctor switched me from Loestrin to this because I was having some pains consistent with ovarian cysts bursting. I was only on Blisovi for about 6 months until I had to switch back to Loestrin! I had constant cramping pain, no sex drive, acne all over my chin, jaw line and mouth, quick weight gain, especially in lower stomach, fatigue and loss of motivation. Now after 2 weeks back on Loestrin, my acne is gone, cramping is gone, feeling more sexual and awake, haven’t dropped any of the weight I gained but still working on it. Mind you I was smaller my entire life and gained 20 pounds once on Blisovi and it really made me feel like I wasn’t myself. If you feel these symptoms, stop taking immediately."

For Birth Control "I had been on Gildess Fe 1/20 for about 2 and a half years until its recent recall. Like many others on this feed, the pharmacy automatically switched me to Blisovi FE. This pill has ruined my body. I haven't had this much acne on my face since I was a teenager, and I have gained SO much weight in my stomach. I usually work out vigorously 4-6 days/week and seldom eat junk food or fast food, but with the way my body looks, I might as well be sitting on the couch from morning to night eating nothing but pizza and cheeseburgers. I guess this pill prevents pregnancy because no one wants to have sex with a whale. I will be starting Apri after I'm done with this pill pack...the next week CAN NOT come soon enough."

For Birth Control "I only found myself on this website after not having a period for 4 months to see if anyone else had anything to say about that. I do have to take pregnancy tests to be safe but this stuff is really good. The only side effects of taking it for me are sore breasts and occasional nausea, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. I don't intentionally skip a period so if this worries you I would stay away from this birth control."
