Diclofenac topical for Osteoarthritis "I was given samples of this for arthritis pain in my foot due to a previous injury. I used just a little bit of it each day to make sure I wasn’t allergic. I thought after a few days it was safe, but then about 4 days later, I broke out in this horrible rash on my foot. It itches, burns, I can’t sleep at night, and it’s gone from red to purple and now swollen and red with some boils. If you have any allergies, please be careful with this medication. It’s been a week, and my foot is still awful looking."

Diclofenac topical for Pain "I live in Florida. This gel worked very nicely for my tennis elbow, shoulder pain, and lower back pain. However, I just had an 'ah ha' moment as to the mysterious, very itchy rash I have developed. The application areas reacted in the intense heat. Last summer, while gardening, I developed a severe lower back rash, which I assumed was somehow sweat-related. This year, I developed the same painful, itchy rash on my right upper back (deltoid area and shoulder) down to my lower arm. Again, I thought it was from the heat and sweat. As I was applying it yesterday, I realized it was being applied directly on top of my rash. The only places I have my rash. It took me long enough!! However, I did not get this rash in the cooler temps."

Diclofenac topical for Osteoarthritis "I loved this Pennsaid cream. It helped me along with my cortisone shots, but I developed an itchy rash from it and had to get a cream to take the rash away. It really is depressing because this stuff was really helping me, but I am allergic to something in it."

Diclofenac topical for Pain "I used the gel once, as prescribed, and broke out in a rash all over my body. The rash is called erythema multiforme. I was covered in bright red, raised welts and hives for close to two weeks. The experience was itchy, uncomfortable, and overall unpleasant. My Dr. said to stop using the gel, but the most frustrating part was there was nothing anyone can do. It simply needed to 'run its course!' Use at your own risk!"

For Pain "After several days of using topical diclofenac, I got a skin rash between my legs and pelvic area. There was an itch, and the skin color changed even though I didn’t use it there. Apparently, it is some type of allergy."

For Pain "My doctor prescribed this med to relieve inflammation in my ankle and heal (Achilles tendonitis). After using it for less than a week, it caused a terrible red, burning, and itching rash that has not gone away for two weeks."

Diclofenac topical for Osteoarthritis "Went for a walk in the orthopedic clinic and was given two packets of Pennsaid 2% for an aching Achilles. The attending physician wrote a script and sent it to their recommended pharmacy. Used the two sample packets, and a rash broke out on my ankle along with skin pain. Seven days after my initial visit, the Pennsaid arrived by mail. Never used it, and my prescription insurance paid $2,297.00 (3.8 fl oz). You wonder why big Pharma is loathed by the general public?"
