Premarin (conjugated estrogens) for Oophorectomy "Now 73. Partial hysterectomy at 27, symptoms of menopause and thyroid failure at 35, extreme depression and suicidal at 43. Doctor tested estrogen and it was almost nonexistent. I was on the .625 Premarin dosage for about 15 years (thyroid medication was prescribed during that time also) and then switched to .3 with no problems. I read that it is not usually prescribed after 70 and asked my doctor what to do, afraid of the symptoms coming back. She said many older patients reduce their medication, so at 70, I cut back to 3 tablets of .3 a week and am happy to report that I have had no problems. My EHB covers 80% of the cost. This pill saved my life!"

Premarin (conjugated estrogens) for Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have been taking this drug for 8mths. It was helping at first but the hot flushes are coming back more frequently now and I'm tearing up a lot lately. I had bloods done and asked if I could take a higher dosage as because the test showed I'm am definitely going through the change. She said no as it would increase my chance of breast cancer. I take .3 each night."

Premarin (conjugated estrogens) for Primary Ovarian Failure "Worked great for many months. Then I started noticing my hair falling out, bladder irritation, and then the dark spots that were staying put while the rest of my summer tan was fading. It was great while it lasted though."

Premarin (conjugated estrogens) for Oophorectomy "Had surgery in 1985 due to endometriosis. Am currently 72. My dosage is 1.25. A month after surgery I was advised to take HRT 21 days on and 7 off and repeat. That left me with "PMS" during the 7 day off period. Dr advised that off time was necessary to avoid estrogen build-up. I decided to take estrogen for 5 days and 2 days off. This has served me well. Through the years for one reason or another I would try other products. BUT, I always returned to Premarin: The Brand Name. The generics I tried were always found wanting. Concerning Insurance: while I was employed the insurance was never a problem. I retired at 55 years old receiving Social Security Disability. After being disabled for 2 years one must apply and accept Medicare. Changing all coverages and in my case lessening them. Medicare Part D has been a godsend for many, but not me."

Cenestin (conjugated estrogens) for Hypoestrogenism "I need to use this post complete hysterectomy. Cenestin has been the most wonderful hormone replacement therapy for me. I have no hot flashes, side effects, my hair is thick, the price is affordable even without insurance you just have to shop around. Take my dog, my man, etc.... but do not touch my Cenestin. It is a total God send to me."

Premarin (conjugated estrogens) for Atrophic Vaginitis "I was given this to help with Vaginal Atrophy that resulted in painful UTI like symptoms and painful sex. By the third week I got limited relief from those symptoms, but had debilitating dizziness and horrible hot flashes. This stuff took me from having had a handful of hot flashes in my entire life to 5 or 6 a night. Not taking it any more."

Premarin (conjugated estrogens) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Was put on 1.25 mg for the constant bleeding my Nexplanon implant caused me. It didn't work & made me so sick! I am a 23 yo mother of 2. Premarin (conjugated estrogens) for Postmenopausal Symptoms "Experienced menopause at an early age, had extreme menstrual problems from the beginning starting at about age 8. I am told after going through much menstrual problems my whole life I have several fibroids. Hoping that after menopause they would naturally shrink. Mine grew and cause me extreme pain. Hormone therapy has relieved this pain. However side effects I think cause me anxiety and I cry easily. When I try to cut back I only take it twice a week the pain comes back which is severe. I cannot stop taking it but the cost is almost $300 of prescription for I have no insurance for this. I noticed in the comments no one else mentions it used for this problem does anyone know"

Premarin (conjugated estrogens) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've been taking this for the past 15 years and haven't had any problems. I have an annual check up and so far, there hasn't been any concerns. I did have a urinalysis done for a quarterly blood pressure check up and there was a detection of blood in my urine. Not sure if it's as a result of taking the Premarin but, I made an appointment to go back to the doctor to follow up in 3 months."

Cenestin (conjugated estrogens) for Postmenopausal Symptoms "For a year post surgery I could not get cold. My family froze in the winter, honestly they blew smoke in the air it was so cold in my house. I was burning up still. I can't remember the few meds I tried before my GYN finally prescribed Cenestin. End of story. Total fix within a few days. But now I'm told it is no longer being manufactured. On Premarin now.... We will see."

Enjuvia (conjugated estrogens) for Postmenopausal Symptoms "Enjuvia helped me with my sudden menopausal symptoms after I had to have a hysterectomy at 47 but I have gained a tremendous amount of weight on it. (60 lbs, at least). I don't know for sure that it was the Enjuvia, but I was slim before I started taking it and now am obese. I ran out of it recently and noticed that I immediately started to lose weight, without even trying. I will update my review when I have been off of it longer. I have been at my wits end trying to lose weight, so hopefully this will help."

For Osteoporosis "I needed a hysterectomy at age 29. I have been on Premarin for 22 years. I had my first bone density scan at age 33. Today there has been very little change in my bone density levels. I enjoy weight training and my 8 grandchildren! I am a perfect candidate for Premarin. I have never smoked. With the exception of fish I am a vegetarian . I take vitamin D and a multi - vitamin. For me, Premarin was a life saver."

Enjuvia (conjugated estrogens) for Postmenopausal Symptoms "I depended on Enjuvia for 5 years but for the last 2 it has not been available. I felt healthy and happy while taking Enjuvia with cognitive sharpness, physical stamina and stable mood. Headaches, word search, night sweats and skin deterioration all returned in the last 2 years while taking Estradiol. It has been like falling off a cliff. PLEASE bring back Enjuvia!!"

Enjuvia (conjugated estrogens) for Postmenopausal Symptoms "Please tell me you are still going to be making Enjuvia. I have been on this drug for years and it really works great for hot flashes and mood swings. I need my prescription filled and I am totally out it. The pharmacies are all saying you are not making it any more and that there is no genetic drug- period. I beg you to still make this product. What are we to do if we can no longer get it and there is no form of a genetic made? Us patients can't go off of Enjuvia cold turkey. Evidently, the pharmacies were not warned ahead of time and neither were the Prescribing doctors., that the drug was stopping being made. This is terrible."

Premarin (conjugated estrogens) for Oophorectomy "Unnecessary Oophorectomy performed 2000 age 50, still having periods. Hysterectomy too, due to fibroids. Now discover that its possible to remove fibroids, leaving womb intact! Suffering terribly from symptoms, given 1mg of Premarin. Over three years I started with severe headaches resulting in projectile vomiting! I was working at the time, so came off it entirely. No good! I tried different drugs, given Climaval fantastic! felt driven, confident, marvellous. Hair and skin glowing again. So MHRA in UK remove this drug from the market. I tried many more, I am placed on Premarin 0.3 which makes me feel nauseous, appetite affected as a result, and have arthritic pain. However, I stick it out as, mentally, I don’t feel too bad. The sickness fades, I am now stuck with bloating, flatulence which is noisy and uncontrollable. Why aren’t side effects removed from these drugs?"

Cenestin (conjugated estrogens) for Postmenopausal Symptoms "Wish they still made it. I was allergic to everything in other hormones. Gave me chronic migraines. Cenestin was the only hormone I could take that didn't. Glad I'm old enough not to need them anymore. They really should start making them again for the 1000's of women I met at migraine clinics"

Premarin (conjugated estrogens) for Postmenopausal Symptoms "It's been two nights since I took the first dose of vaginal cream (1/2 gram) for vaginal pain. Since taking it I have developed terrible anxiety, felt spacey all day, had a headache, and had trouble sleeping. My reflux, which was under control with pepcid, has worsened. My doctor does not think these are side effects of the medication but I do not believe that. Maybe the side effects will get better after more doses, but I am reluctant to continue using Premarin."

Premarin (conjugated estrogens) for Postmenopausal Symptoms "I began Premarin cream a month ago, using a pea size amount twice weekly. It does help with peri-menopause symptoms. My estrogen got very low, I ended up with prolapses, dryness, sweating, melasma, facial hair, acne, water retention and mood swings. So, I was given the cream to help with burning and prolapse. My concern is that I still have regular menstruation and no progesterone was given to me with this. The sweats and burning are improving, but ALL other symptoms are worse! Especially acne. I’m wondering if it’s estrogen dominance, even though the estrogen is low, but the doctors dismiss these concerns and nobody will repair the class three prolapse until it’s all the way out."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started an abnormal cycle after a year of not having one. At first my cycle had came back on with a vengence and then it went to just spotting. I thought yes it's about over but the spotting did not stop. It was well over a month so a co-worker introduced me to estrogen conjugated tablets. I started taking them for my hot flashes but little did I know that they would also stop the irregular vaginal spotting. But it took a week for it to get in my system and work."
