I am on metformin 1000mg twice a day, but tonight I think I might have mistaken my metformin for my atorvastatin and took it 3 times. Will I be ok? Or do I need to call a doctor?
Can you overdose on metformin?

I see this question was asked some time ago. If you did in fact take an extra dose of your Metformin you may experience stomach upset as the most common side effect. Each person would respond differently. It might be helpful for you to use a pill minder to put your daily medications in so you know you are taking the medication as prescribed. I use one because I would never remember to take all my supplements and prescription medication. Try one and I am sure you will enjoy not having to worry you are missing a dose or taking an extra dose. Good luck!
