Can you cut risperidone tablets and sertraline tablets in half?

You can only break the tablets if they are scored, otherwise there's no way of knowing how much of the drug is in each half.
Also, I hope you aren't going to try to reduce your dosage on your own or with Internet advice because you could suffer terrible discontinuation symptoms if you do it wrong. NEVER stop cold turkey.
Call your doctor and get professional advice about a tapering dose schedule to follow and be pre-warned that many people find they have a rebound of their original symptoms when they stop.
I don't want to be a downer but if you're going to do this please do it the right way.
Thank you, I’m aware of all of that. I was just wondering if I was going to have to pay for however many prescriptions it was going to take to get me weaned. I’m trying to plan ahead for it because things are really tight right now, and thanks again.
