Can you cut in half irbesartan 300 milligram tablet so you're only taking 150 milligrams?

I myself wondered this question because I am on 300mg and I passed out when I stood up from a sitting position. I called a pharmacist and they said you can break them in half as long as they are not extended release tablets. It's always good to check with your personal pharmacist to make sure they are not.
