My vet gave me a yellow round pill, scored on one side and blank on the other and said was for cough. My daughter took the dog in and forgot to ask for the name of the meds.
Yellow round pill for cough?

Hi, cholley! I'm sorry, but if the tablet carries no house imprint it's one of dozens of generic medications. Generally, the medications we use for dogs are human products so it could be anything from dextromethorphan or temeril-p to butorphanol or hydrocodone.
PLEASE call your veterinarian today to find out for sure. You need to be aware of possible side effects, especially if it's one of the stronger narcotic preparations.
Best wishes, WildcatVet
