Hi, Kmos!
Masso's given some good advice and information on bupropion (Wellbutrin). Another thought is a mood stabilizer that's often prescribed with antidepressants. Lamotrigine (Lamictal) is a common one which is actually an anticonvulsant but acts to help lift depression. I've posted links for you about this medication:

Talk to your doctor because you do have some options.
Beat regards,
WildcatVet- I take those exact three drugs together. The combination is good. I took Abilify instead of Lamictal back in 2010-2015, which worked then as well. I tried adding Abilify back before starting Lamictal, but it caused weight gain for me.
By the way, I take Wellbutrin for dopamine because I don’t produce that neurotransmitter. I know lack of dopamine can cause Parkinson’s; however, I don’t know that happens to everyone. I hope not.
"The addition of bupropion carries the expectation that a different antidepressant mechanism will add to the benefits brought about by venlafaxine. There may be a favorable pharmacodynamic interaction between bupropion and venlafaxine in patients who do not respond sufficiently to venlafaxine alone."

Major
buPROPion venlafaxine
Applies to: bupropion and venlafaxine
BuPROPion may rarely cause seizures, and combining it with other medications that can also cause seizures such as venlafaxine may increase that risk. You may be more susceptible if you are elderly, undergoing alcohol or drug withdrawal, have a history of seizures, or have a condition affecting the central nervous system such as a brain tumor or head trauma. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Also avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
