Hi I’m currently on 15 mg of mirtazapine my appetite has been much improved so far ( 6 weeks) but my mood although some days very good is generally a little bit of dark cloud with some days not wanting to turn in for work and not enjoying it like in many years gone bye would upping the dose to 30mg be the best way forward or still ride out on 15 mg
What dose of mirtazapine is best for depression and a improvement in appetite?

Hello, Tomatoface! You may be on the right track. People respond differently to medications... some people do well on a low dose but others require higher doses. There is no set effective dose for everyone. You're taking the low end of the maintenance dose which ranges from 15mg to a maximum of 45mg/day. It sounds as if you're responding to the medication but just need a little, boost. You'll want to talk to your doctor about a possible increase or ?
