I am on day 4 of this medication. I have had massive amounts of energy. Too much energy that I can not relax. I have not been sleeping well at all 5-6 hrs of sleep per night so far. I also smoke marijuana not an abuser of marijuana. Just toke here and there per usual. But it’s making the anxiety much worse during the day. Does anyone feel their heart pumping? And freaks them out?

Hi, Gavin!
New or increased anxiety is common with antidepressants when first starting them and it affects 1-10% of users. It can cause insomnia and impair sleep in some people. Also, Wellbutrin is very energizing for some users... like me.
Side effects are temporary and generally resolve within a matter of days to a week or so and you should see them diminish as the days go by . If they do persist let your doctor know... sometimes a dosage adjustment eases your metabolism as it adjusts to the drug in your system.
Don't freak out! Things should be looking much better very soon now.
