I am not sure if I took my 100mg today and am wondering if I did take another 100mg would I be ok with 200mg sertraline in one day if I did indeed take my normal pill.
I typically take 100mg of Sertraline daily. What would happen if I accidentally took 200mg?

Hello JoDee17. In regards to the first part of your question, if you have not yet doubled your dose if possible avoid the increase. Your motor functions as well as cognitive will or might be impaired depending on how sensitive you might be to the SSRI. The medical community depending on which country you reside in will suggest and recommends in regards to psychiatric medications, such as Sertraline/Zoloft, to not double up on the dose. Regards pledge
You are probably better off just skipping todays dose rather than doubling up in case you did take it. I use a med box with the days of the week for this very purpose. If I cant remember whether or not I took my pill, I just look in the box, if it is empty, I took it, if not, I know right away because the pill is there!
With the number of meds I have to take sometimes, this is the only way I know what I'm supposed to take when and whether I took it or not.
Those containers divided up with 3 or 4 slots for each day are not just for old people lol
Me too! I have done this ever since I was on just one medication. I only take 5 now but it still helps me keep track.
