Hi:
Trintellix isn't for everyone. You didn't mention the dosage you're taking. I tried Trintellix and the 5 mg dosage for one week was rough but tolerable. But after a few days on 10 mg I had to tap out. Racing thoughts, inability to stay focused, anxiety. I just knew that this medication was too intense for me and there would be no happy ending with it. So by all means, speak with your Doctor about the side effects. But if side effects become intolerable, do not torture yourself. I wound up going back to Vilazodone (Viibryd).
All the best and take care for now.
Hi, Josh!
What you describe are very common for some users but they generally resolve within a week or two. I agree with Klonopin that you should let your doctor know about these side effects. It may be essence of time or maybe a temporary dosage adjustment.
Anxiety sometimes takes a little longer to respond than depression but you should feel improvements before the usual 4-8 weeks it takes for the drug to become fully effective.
Best regards and I hope you're feeling better quickly.
Thanks for your help
I hope so too I’m only on a low dose of 10mg going up to 15mg now. Hopefully it helps.
I can tell you my experience was it took about 3 weeks to kick in. I never experienced increased anxiety. I can almost guarantee you'll have an upset stomach off and on for weeks. The standard is wait 6 weeks. But if the headaches get worse I'd let your doctor know.
