As far as I know from my psychiatrist Trazodone stays in your system for twenty-four hours. I take 300 mgs. a night at bedtime and I am fine when I get up in the morning. Hope this helps.

Trazodone has a half life of approximately 3 to 9 hours so it should be out of your system within 6 to 18 hours. However Trazodone isn't one of the drugs that shows up on a drug test of any kind and is not a controlled substance. Hope this helps!

Do you wake up with a headache? itching? Since I started taking Trazaone my whole body itches, I only take 50mg, and I still don't sleep more than 3 hours before I wake up and can go back to sleep for a couple more hours and that's it..
