My husband passed away September 1st and I was just getting ready to start this medication at 12.5 mgs for migraines but never did until last night. I’m wondering if it might help the stress and anxiety I’m under from losing my husband? I know the grief is normal but I sure could use a bit of relief, well this help me?

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss... it can be devaststing.
There have been few studies of how effective Topamax is for anxiety and it's not FDA approved for this use but some doctors do prescribe it off-label.
"One study found that the participants taking Topamax with their depression medication significantly improved depressed mood, insomnia, agitation, and anxiety/PTSD symptoms compared to those taking a placebo."
If you're taking it for migraines we'll cross our fingers that it will help your situation too.
