I am on 50mg twice a day for about 2 full months now, my migraines have stopped, haven't had one since March 5th, but the side effects are driving me insane, I feel like I'm losing my mind. Both of my calves are killing me, muscle pains, they even checked me for blood clots because I didn't know what was going on. Arm pain, have a hard time washing my hair anymore. My eyes are getting watery and a little blurry. And my doctors are getting tired of looking at me. Has helped with some weight loss tho, only a little bit still. I don't know if I want to deal with the these side effects. I'm having a hard time laying in bed, I can't sleep. My legs just hurt all the time! Has anyone else had this?
Topamax and leg pains? For migraines? Anyone else?

It is common practice for many doctors to use various drugs for what they were not approved for, being known as "Off-Label-Use", which is legal and highly appropriate in some cases, and not so much in others. For instance, the drug "Gabapentin" and its generic form called "Neurontin" is now commonly prescribed for all sorts of pain disorders in light of the "Quasi-Opioid-Epidemic" (i.e., due to government, insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid searching for an answer to this countries illicit drug use), but only having been approved by the "FDA" for seizures and neuropathic pain, an anticonvulsant medication that helps manage seizures due to epilepsy. Thus, while the "Topamax" may be helping your migraines, the list of potential side effects may be countless. Research the drug, and any potential side effects, then present them to your Doctor at your next appointment! He can explain the potential side-effects and explain the risk-benefit in relation to your migraine severity!
