I have 2 Victoza pens .I used 1 dose 0.6 mg it made me nauseated so I put pen in fridge and left it there for 2 months The 2nd pen was left in my draw (no refridgeration) and it was never used. "I want to try Victoza again." Maybe I got nauseated from something other than this medicine last time. The expiration dates are 9 months from now. Someone told me both pens are bad now. 1 for not being refridgerated and the other pen in fridge is bad because it's only good for 30 days once it's opened. Did anyone use them after either of these situatiions occurred and they still worked for diabetes 2?
Do I have to throw Victoza away after 30 days?

Answers
"Storing unopened injection pens: Store in the refrigerator. Do not freeze Victoza, and throw away the medication if it has become frozen. Do not use an unopened injection pen if the expiration date on the label has passed.
Storing after your first use: You may keep "in-use" injection pens in the refrigerator or at room temperature. Protect the pens from moisture, heat, and sunlight. Use within 30 days. Remove the needle before storing an injection pen, and keep the cap on the pen when not in use."
