I took Remeron/Mirtazapine for four months. When I tapered off my 45mg daily dose I did it over a week. That went fine for me. Coincidentally, I also take Lamictal. Stopping Remeron without tapering seems like a bad approach if you’ve been on it for months. I hope everything goes ok for you.
Hi, Lminer!
You're absolutely right that you should never stop Remeron or any antidepressant abruptly because of the potential for discontinuation symptoms especially when you've been on the maximum recommended dosage. I'm sure you know this by now.
You need to contact your doctor, the doctor covering for them, or if the symptoms get really bad you might consider contacting an ER or urgent care facility.
This is lousy timing with this happening on the weekend and I'm sorry you're going through this.
Please make some phone calls and get some professional advice.
Best regards ,
Do you have any of your Remeron tablets left?
