Can you lay down after taking Nexium?

Any suggestions to get rid of acid in the stomach. I always seem to have a burning in my mouth.

Can a 40mg Nexium be cut in half so you can have 20mg daily?

20mg tablet is the correct dose, but doctor prescribed in error 40mg and they were dispensed.
