I am taking Lactulose and it works well for me. My doctor wonders why I would always need it. Miralax doesn't work for me. Is there anything OTC that is comparable to Lactulose so that I don't have to depend on a doctor to get the help I need? Thanks

My husband is on Lactulose. In the hospital, he had been on powder form (20 mg). Here at home, I have liquid form and need to know how many mL it takes to equal 20 mg.

Which fibre laxatives suggested alt to lactulose? Is better take lactose at night.. or in morning?

Lactulose at night could be effective around 0200,, with enema The same in daytime but more manageable.
