My insurance does not cover the Deplin L-Methylfolate and I am trying to see if I can find a generic form or a discounted way to purchase it. It really helps with depression and just my overall well-being! I have not had it filled again due to the price. :-(

My regular folate blood check showed it to be kind of high. The doctor didn't have a concern about that. I really want to try Deplin, I just don't want to raise L methylfolate too high. By the way, I'm trying it to see if it will help ocd and depression and maybe pms.

I have Narcolepsy and am being treated with Xyrem. My doctor says I do not produce L-Methylfolate?

1. What dose to start at? And then? 2. what is a good trial (timewise) 3 does effectiveness relate to size of SSRI dose? 4.Any need to balance out all that Folic Acid.? 5. Any reports of reduced effectiveness over time? 6. What's it like to feel good again (it's been quite a while)?
