Metformin Hcl ER , two 500 mg at bedtime is causing side effects i.e. Weakness, fatigue, & insomnia. More pronounced is the quadriceps muscle pain & stiffness that developed almost immediately making it difficult to walk. I planned to use DMSO today to relieve pain. Please advise.
