I just started using Vagifem 10 mcg. I am supposed to use it every day for 7-10 days, then 2x a week for duration of use. I would like to know when the best time for intercourse would be, so that my husband doesn't suffer any bad side effects from the estrogen? Thank-you very much
Vagifem - when is the safest time for intercourse so my husband not exposed to estrogen?

Hi Janae,
Just thought I would let you know, I tried it and had side effects. So if you are vaginally dry I would try virgin coconut oil. Just put it on and in with your fingers it works like a charm! I was looking on line for something natural because I react to all the presc ones and tried this. I needed to do it for a few days and now I use it only as needed. You can also put a vitamin E capsule at night, it dissolves. Also the Virgin Coconut Oil you can use when you are having sex too! Good luck!
Where do you get the coconut oil? I have some I use for cooking. Is it the same?
I get it at a health food store but Costco has a very large jar too! It has to be Virgin Coconut Oil.
Have fun!
Vagifem is a very low dose of estrogen and most of it is obsorbed into the vaginal tissue. I would call your OBGYN doc or your regular doc and or a pharmacist to find out if it is going to be an issue for your husband. Then go from there.
Best to both of you.
