Plan B will take virtually immediate effect (otherwise it may not stop pregnancy!), & those effects can last up to a few weeks. For me, they always lasted 2 weeks. I would get very depressed with it, amongst other things.
You can expect any amount of hormonal symptoms, including breast tenderness, nausea, bloating, cramping, back ache, dizziness etc
Plan B is a large dose of synthetic (man-made) progesterone for your body to handle. Everyone reacts differently to it, & it tends to depend on where you are in your cycle when you take it, as to what symptoms you experience.
You may have spotting or bleeding after using it, & it may delay your period by a week or two.
Hope that helps.
Thank you right now I'm feeling hot and dizziness off an on and a bit sick off an on as well cramps kinda bad at times with no bleeding as of yet .. So up to two week huh dang this isn't fun
Hopefully it'll not be as long as that. As I say, everyone's different, but hopefully it'll pass soon for you.
did you experience any white milky like discharge?? and would that be normal?
I have taken it once and I never experienced side effects. Can you list which side effects in particular you are referring to?
Cramps and dizzy very dizzy and I was off an on sick to my stomach I'm just hoping its dying down now
They should subside fairly soon. If not, see your doctor. Look at it this way, it may be a good thing that you are experiencing the typical side effects. I didn't experience any side effects when I took it to prevent pregnancy... and... I am currently 34 weeks pregnant... Best of luck to you!
