I was just given a prescription for Viagra along with my normal Klonopin prescription. I took my dose of Klonopin hours ago and just took the Viagra a little over an hour ago. It doesn't seem to be working... Is it possible that the Klonopin counteracted the Viagra? My wife says... "PLEASE HELP!!! " LOL. All joking aside, I am extremely serious. Thanks so very much.

Hi Bill, they have quite different modes of action. Clonazepam works on receptors in the brain, whereas Viagra works on the body by dilating blood vessels (hence the headaches you can get from nitrates in the blood). The drug interactions checker mentions no interaction but does warn against grapefruit juice and Viagra by badly affecting absorption and metabolism of Viagra rendering it ineffective. That's the best I can do with tools at hand. It's probably worth talking to your doctor about this.
I honestly hope you get it sorted. Steve
