I am having serious nose bleeds due to high blood pressure. My dr has me on 25 mg losartan . 2?

If you are really concerned you should track you BP daily by starting to taking your BP an hour after you wake up in the morning and close to your bedtime. This will give your doctor more information to base their decision of modifying your prescription. Based on your current BP reading your doctor probably did not make a change to your dosage as you are well within the range they are looking for. Are you sure your nose bleeds are really attributed to high blood pressure? Have you seen a hematologist? If not, why?

The first time I was at the doc my pressure was 159 so that's why my doctor believe it was due to blood pressure. But now that my pressure is normal I will speak to my doc about referring me to a hematologist. Thank you

Oh and my blood did come back normal so I'm assuming that's why my doc did not refer me to a specialist. But with my pressure being normal now I am going to take that advice and always check my pressure and if the nose bleeds keep happening than I will take it a step further. This has be GREAT help thank you

You do not feel high blood pressure. What you need to do is take your bp daily. If your bp is so high that your nose bleeds its an emergency situation. But its important to know what your bp is.

Kaismama I just came from the doc and my pressure is down 125 /80. But is it possible that I need a stronger mg so it will last the 24 hours
