I found a wierd pill in my home. It would be so apprecited if anyone could possibly identify it for me... like, really apprecited... as I have 2 children... one who is 18, and I am worried she took something???
Thank you so much in advance:)
It is blue, smaller than a 10mg valium and round with a capital D imprint in the middle... just the capital D, no other imprints???
Peace,
Katniss
What is this pill - with 'D' imprint, round and blue and smaller than a 10mg valium??

This is 100% generic Kirkland 5mg Desloratadine Allergy Control formula. Tiny round convex pale/baby blue pill with only a capital "D" imprint and no other markings.
It is NOT Amitriptyline, a TCA antidepressant, which is bigger and a much darker blue.
Both these medications could potentially cause sleepiness, although the Kirkland bottle is clearly marked "Non-Drowsy Antihistamine". Some people like this effect and seek it out, although neither of these are likely the first choice for recreational use.
If you find pills that you think your child might be taking, it is best to talk to them. As long as they don't feel accused or in fear, they will likely tell you what it is, if it is theirs and if it isn't, it is still a good way to find out what is happening with recreational drug use amongst their peers and offer advice for how they can stay safe (or safer) in a complicated and pressure-filled world. Good luck.
Please provide your source.

Sounds like amitriptyline.
Did u find out what it was? I just found one in my home?? And took it wanting to no what it could be as I live with a 10, 12 and 13 year old. Silly idea I no. It dissolved really quickly, like ecstasy pills
Likely a 5mg desloratadine - an antihistamine. Just generic over the counter allergy meds ☺️
I think It's amitriptyline, 10mg. Google it and look at the pictures. My are round, blue with just the letter D on.
I know it's a little late, but it may be of help to other people-
It's called Amitriptyline- a prescribed antidepressant. Its blue colour indicates a 10mg dosage which is essentially harmless.
I have looked for it and I can't find anything like it. Take it to your pharmacist, they will identify it for you and they will do it with no questions asked just in case you're worried about getting your 18 yr old or anyone else into trouble, hopefully it is nothing. good luck to you!! I really hope everything turns out ok. :))
I have tried to find a match, but have come up empty handed.
I suggest you take the pill to your pharmacy for proper identification.
Best of luck,
