Shannon; yes it expires in 3 years and well not put out any birth control medication at all. so if you have it removed you either talk to the doctor about another type of birth control or make sure you use condoms.Once removed from your are you have no b/c coverage so be very careful.

Sorry, Shannon yes on both counts but if it is good until July it well works for now. but they normally try and get them out and replaced a month to a few weeks before it expires,
And once it is expired and if it is left in no Birth control well come out and you can get pregnant and also you might get an infection in the arm from the bar if it is left in for a long time Good luck. chuck.

Shannon. as long as it's within the expired date it well be fine but if it is after the date you are taking a chance. of it not working. So for the 2 weeks that you have it in prior to having it taken out use condoms. you can't trust the bar in your arm.because if i understand you right it well be expired so you don't know if any medication well come out of it.

YES!!! BECAUSE IT IS THEN EXPIRED AND THERE IS NO MEDICATION IN IT. YOU MUST USE CONDOMS IF IT IS IN YOUR ARM LONGER THAN IT SHOULD BE. IT IS BEST TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY.

Shannon, no but get it removed as soon as you can. but if you have SEX AFTER YOU LEFT IT IN THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT IT IS GOING TO WORK. i WOULD NOT WANT TO COUNT ON IT. chuck1957

The bar is coming out on a Saturday but if I leave it in and have sex the next day Sunday and then have sex again the next Saturday, could I get pregnant then?

They sell pregnancy tests at pharmacys or have the doctor do it when you go in to have the bar taken out. Good luck. but I have a feeling it is okay. They have the bars work a bit longer just in case you can't get in the office. Don't sweat it. for now. You are going to drive yourself crazy. Later now.

Shannon, I am thinking her. That bar in your arm if I am right is supposed to be good for 3 years and I think you said it has not been 3 years if that is the case you are covered. NOW IF YOUR NOT SURE CALL THE OFFICE AND ASK WHEN YOU HAD IT PUT IN AND WHEN DO YOU NEED IT REPLACED IF IT IS NOT 3 YEARS YET THAN YOU ARE OKAY. Okay if you had sex twice in one week you lucky dog!!! Then it's within the 3 years so you should be fine. But call and set up an appointment to get a new one or whatever kind of birth control you want now. And also Shannon most woman that have these taken out it takes a while to get pregnant. so I would not worry about it. And if there is a problem I'm sure the doctor can help. Chuck

Shannon, You should be fine and when the DOCTOR PUTS IN A NEW ONE.. ask her how long before you can safely have SEX some it is right away. others it can be a week. But while you have the doctor there ask her. okay. it depends on your cycle. but I'm sure you are okay. hope you are okay now I think we have it all figured out now and you well be safe until your doctor's appointment.
