Then 5 on the second day, 4 on the fourth day now all 3 one the third day all at once. Yes I had very bad stomach pains , couldn't sleep but I thought it was from being sick.
I just found out I was taking them wrong. Is that why I am still feeling sick? Should I take the 2 at once tomorrow? Thankyou. I never did anything like this before. Feeling stupid.

Don't Feel stupid, you can take it either way. You can take it all at once or you can spread it throughout the day in two or three doses. They must have switched this up since 2015, because I can't find the dosage at all on the fold-out paper with the fine print, but I did find it on the front of the pill sheet.

To take a 4 MG packet of METHYLPREDNISOLONE Tablets correctly, follow these steps:
• On the FIRST day, take six tablets. • On the SECOND day, take five tablets. • On the THIRD day, take four tablets. • On the FOURTH day, take three tablets. • On the FIFTH day, take two tablets. • On the SIXTH day, take the final 1 tablet.
It is crucial to follow your doctor’s instructions and the guidelines on the medication label. I took this medication in the evening and experienced a headache, so I decided to rest and sleep, knowing that I was experiencing one of the mentioned side effects. I also struggled with opening the medication packet, lol.
The next morning, I contacted my doctor to explain the headache for clarification. As I continued with the six-day tablet regimen, my headaches and other symptoms gradually improved. I felt better once I completed the medication.

If the package is received late in the day, one must take all six pills the same day. This is the most stupid way telling people how to take drugs without any explanation, because it is not clearly explained how to take the pills during the day except in a small print behind the wrapper...

Methylprednisolone can be taken as a short-term course or as a long-term course. Long-term treatment can be taken once daily, or in divided doses, but the 6-day pack being discussed here needs to be taken in multiple doses every day (except the last, when it is only one pill). There is a comment here that says this drug "is supposed to be taken" all at once each day. A long-term order might be taken once daily or in divided doses, but the 6-day course needs to be split up in order to protect people from the major side effects this medication can have if too much is taken at once. But a short-term course starts with a very large amount of medicine—the pills need to be spread out to be effective and safe. It's dangerous to stop steroids suddenly, it must also be reduced slowly over several days instead of just stopping it, and that's why each day has a different number of pills.
If you think you have made a mistake, call your pharmacist immediately, especially if you might have taken a whole day's worth at once. They will advise you what to do. That is true for any medication, especially if you feel different than you usually do.
Please don't talk yourself out of asking your medical professionals for fear of looking foolish. You will not be the first person who has asked about this—or any other question—and you won't be the last. We would much rather you be safe and get good advice.
Going forward, the best thing to do is to ask your pharmacist about any medication that is new to you, so you clearly understand how to take it. Drugs affect people differently, and something that just causes muscle aches in some can truly harm another.

I did the exact thing! I took all 6 at once. I was in so much pain. I was about to take the second dose where I saw the instructions. For the first dose, I couldnt get the pills out so i destroyed the packaged. Where, the most important instructions was on. (Take one at breakfast and so on). . I think they should've written it larger on the package or in a different color!

I don’t think you did anything wrong. You are supposed to take them together each day. Did you take them with food? If not, that may be the reason you experienced stomach pains. Also, you should take them in the morning each day and that will lessen the chance of insomnia.

I just did the same thing! I got my wisdom teeth removed and took them all together until today when my husband brought me one of the three and I was like wait... but I didnt have any pains from it. Thanks goodness. Dont feel dumb I feel as though the instructions are not that clear because they are just on the back of the foil, and the RX instructions just say to take 6 a day, 5 a day, ect.

Yes, it's probably why you're feeling sick. For tomorrow, why don't you be gentle with your stomach and split the dose into 2 different times? On the 1st day, it's actually okay to take all 6 at once, but usually it's done because you have just gotten the prescription later in the day. Try to eat a bland diet with nothing spicy just to take care of your stomach for a couple of days. Everyone makes mistakes, and you're almost done with this one.
