I am an 82 yo male with CKD stage 3 and high blood pressure. I injured my ankle/foot and have been prescribed Cephalexin 500 mg every 6 hours. Is this a normal dosage?
Proper dosage of cephalexin?

Hi, Ron!
"250 to 333 mg orally every 6 hours OR 500 mg orally every 12 hours"
It's a pretty high end dose but still within normal range. I would assume your doctor felt the dosage was warranted.
