If you're are young and fertile then maybe . But I didn't think so because I am young and fertile and I had missed my Ministry and also had one twice in one month and I had it for three entire years
I'll just go by the FDA information still I think: https://www.drugs.com/pro/nexplanon.html
"Return to Ovulation
In clinical trials with the non-radiopaque etonogestrel implant (IMPLANON), the etonogestrel levels in blood decreased below sensitivity of the assay by one week after removal of the implant. In addition, pregnancies were observed to occur as early as 7 to 14 days after removal. Therefore, a woman should re-start contraception immediately after removal of the implant if continued contraceptive protection is desired."
Anecdotal observations are fine but it is just one opinion still, me, you, everyone. The FDA presentation of the results from 20,000 study participants, I'd call pretty reliable and that was using ages from 18-35.
Fertility has been known to be restored in 7 to 14 days in some cases. What made you think that unprotected sex was safe?
