I've been having a post nasal drip for about 3 months now. I have a cough in the morning and the mucus normally comes out clear or cloudy. I feel fine otherwise, but I'm just concerned with the duration I've had this for. Is there an underlying condition causing this?

Hi, i read your question. I also started post-nasal drip 3 weeks ago. I'm on a hormone pill called letrozole and I think that drug is the cause. I've never had a problem like this before. Has your post-nasal drip gone? Were you using hormone medication when you had a nasal discharge or were you in the menopause period? Is it still continuing?
Hi Mike
Honestly there is no way to know what condition you have without going to a walk-in clinic or by making an appointment with your primary care physician.
Yes, you can speculate what it is. It's probably not a virus or pneumonia because the symptoms would have gotten worse by now (3 months).
By worse I mean your mucus from your nose would be a thick yellow discharge. Most likely if it were more than a cold you would have an occasional fever, achy joints, inability to hold down foods etc.
The only condition I can think of that would last 3 months with the same symptoms is an Allergy. Maybe it's a seasonal allergy of sort or possibly a pet allergy.
If I were you I would make an appointment with your primary care doctor. That's the only way you're going to know what it is.
Feel better!
