I took the pill two days ago and I'm experinsing nausea vomiting abdominal pain dizziness and its knocking me on my butt. I can barely walk with the pain and dizziness. and can barely stand to eat with puking and nausea.

I took it about four days ago and the symptoms are kicking in. Last night I had a dream that I fainted and this morning whenever I would bend over I would get extremely dizzy and see white flashes. I can barely walk to class without feeling like a zombie and I have zero appetite, I keep throwing up in my mouth (not full blown vomiting) and my body is just so weak I feel horrible. My sex drive hasn’t gone away yet but if i keep feeling this way it definitely will.

I took this pill 5 days ago and I feel sick all the time. I haven't been able to eat or sleep. I feel anxious all the time and I think I'm having panic attacks. I was ovulating when I took the pill so I don't even know if it worked but I'm for sure going to the doctor next week because I've never felt this bad. I will never take this again. Does anyone know how long the side effects last?

Weeks or months. It's different for everyone. Usually the worst symptoms are over in a couple of weeks, but some, such as irregular bleeding, can be months for some women.
If you were ovulating you need one of the other methods of emergency contraception. Plan B works by delaying your ovulation until the sperm leaves your body. If you're already ovulating then it can't do that. Some think Plan B works in other ways, but the Manufacturer does not claim that. They say it's possible, but don't say it does, as it has not been proven. You can see that on the Manufacturer's website. They're careful to use the word possible.

According to my calendar, I was supposed to be on my fertile days but sometimes I forget to put the exact days of my period and to be honest I don't even remember. Well, I already scheduled with my doctor next week so I hope this pill works because then I'm having these symptoms for nothing. Thank you!

I struggle with Levonorgestrel, too. That's Plan B & it goes under other names, such as Take Action. If I have an emergency, I get my doctor to prescribe Ella. I have so few symptoms with Ella compared to Plan B.

I just took a Plan B yesterday morning a few hours after sex. My head has hurt on and off, my stomach hurts and my mood things are THROUGH the roof. Did anyone else have extreme mood swings? Everything either makes me want to cry or get angry. I haven’t been spotting yet.. my periods are normally regular how long does it take to get normal again?

Yes I've had the extreme mood swings with Plan B. So much so that I don't use it in an emergency, anymore, I use the other emergency pill called Ella.
The worst of the symptoms are usually over in a week or two, but some symptoms can go on for a few more weeks. Everyone is different.

I know this is an old post but I can say if you read the package of side effects being sick, headaches, dizziness are all common side effects. Not rare, common. I took it 4 hours ago my husband and I aren’t ready for another baby and we had a slip up. 4 hours in and my head is spinning and I feel like I have the flu. It’s just a crazy rush of hormones. When I get my period normally the week before I get sick to my stomach and dizzy too and I’m also anemic so my period causes dizziness. If it lasts more than a few days I would see a doctor guys. Better safe than sorry. But within the first few days it is normal to feel sick with all the extra hormones

I took the pill roughly 3 hours after sex around 6 pm on Monday. I was fine until the next day I was super tired and have nausea after every time I eat. I hold it in so I can get some protein in me. I have not experienced depression, mood swings, stomach cramps or anything else... yet. It's only been 2 days and I feel like I could fall asleep at my desk at any minute. It's the constant needing to feel like I am going throw up is what is the worst. Good Luck everyone!

I know this is wrong but I took 6 plan b pills in one month and I'm having bad abdominal pain nausea puke I been getting too sentimental randomly get sleepy and all I want to do is sleep. Mood swings and my head is always hurting. I got my period twice in a month the first one I was spotting at first and lasted a day like that. The next day got heavy bleeding for 2 days and it stopped. A week later I got my period again. Heavy bleeding . My ovaries hurt a lot the pain comes and goes. Should I go get checked? Does anyone else also experience these things ?

Hey, six pills in one month is a lot of hormones to add to your body. You've seen all the complications these girls have listed for just one pill, so I can only imagine what you're going through. You should absolutely go see your regular obgyn or make an appointment with a new one. The first visit without insurance should be less than $200 and he/she should be able to help you, and possibly even get you on some regular birth control so you don't have to go through this again. I took the same pill on sunday evening, the day after. It's tuesday now and the only side effects i've experienced are severe cramps and mood swings. Like horrible mood swings. It's a huge burst of hormones so side effects can last for a while. I hope you were alright

I took emergency contraception Thursday just gone after a mishap... I had take it before maybe 6 months ago and usual cramping and mood swings... this time I got a whole bunch of side affects, sore breasts, moody, cramps, headache and my sleep has been affected... I'm going to put this down to my period stopping 2/3 days before taking the pill so my hormone levels have gone all over the place... does this make sense? I'm hoping they pass soon cause I really like my sleep.

Omg it feels so good to hear someone else say this... I took the pill like 7 days ago and I'm just now spotting more like a full blown period I feel God aweful I feel as if I have a knot in the middle of my stomach and it hurts really bad been having some really bad mood swings I dnt wanna be touched or bothered by anyone not even my manfriend I'm not even getting sexually excited anymore I more tired very nauseous and sluggish been having dreams about me passing out and so much more is this normal p.s. will never take again...

My girlfriend has taken the pill and she has been through every side effect besides Brest tenderness. She's vomited, had headaches abdominal pain and all the rest, and a week in now she's had a large amount of spotting for the past two days and I'm losing my mind and I'm really hoping it's her period, but I also get that's it only been a week and it's probably the pill but I'm not entirely sure.

Hey well the side effects are different for everyone my girl friend took it once and she had discharges dizziness vomit cramp a second period in the same month and it wasn't a normal period we were worried but everything passed away with time though her side effects lasted like a month and maybe a few days more the pill really pulls a number on you I wish you good luck though and in order to avoid the dizziness when you lay in bed make one foot touch the floor is sometimes helps to avoid being weak all the time you have to eat light things and try not to vomit it all the times good luck

I took the pill 3-4 weeks ago and I'm still dizzy and having panic attacks constantly. I'm freaking out. I haven't told anyone about this. I have night terrors.. I haven't started my period yet. I took the pill the next evening. I was severely dizzy and sick and I hear that is normal. I am really worried at this point. If its me or this is the pill. My boobs hurt and I feel awful.

Hey calm down and breath it's all normal my girlfriend took the pill and her side effects lasted for a month and a few days more almost 2 months their is a lot of vomiting tiredness and dizziness Also if you get a second period or a lot of dicharge it's normal too my girlfriend had those as well to avoid being so dizzy when you lay in bed make one foot touch the floor to deal with the tiredness you have to eat something and hold it in your body needs to get energy from food try very very very hard not to vomit it take it slow it's going to be a pain in the ass but good luck let me know if you need more tips

I'm young and have taken the pill twice, this is my second time, took a week before my period is due and have been having bad cramps, nausea, headaches and fatigue. Very nervous, and hoping the pill will work. Is it normal to still be feeling like this after 4 days? Will the ec pill work?

You took it twice??? You only needed to take it once all the side effects you have are normal my girlfriend had side effects that lasted for a month and a few more days definitely see a doctor even the package says to only take it once I am seriously worried since you took two of them let me know what happens and how young exactly are you?

You can take the pill twice so idk why you scared her by saying you took it twice ??? I'm so worried about you ! You can literally take it as much as you want to just be prepared for a boat load of side effects is all

I took Plan B July 5th and I'm still experiencing stomach aches around the same time everyday and I'm also experiencing abdominal pain. I'm not sure if Plan B caused this but I'm pretty sure it did. I never want to take it again if my boyfriend and I ever have an accident again. Plan B messes up your cycle/ hormone balance and I would definitely see a doctor if the symptoms last more than a week.

Hi i know that your post is late, but i’d really like to know what happened since i’ve been having a similar experience. Did you end up pregnant or not?
I’m really worried because about a month ago i took plan b around 30 hours after i had sex. I ended up spotting a week later and then i had my period 3 days later than expected. It was a really heavy flow and my period lasted for 5 days. But now, a month later ive been having abdominal pains, hot flashes, and feeling sick a couple times along with headaches. Im just so worried and have been feeling so much anxiety and stress about this whole thing.
