Quetiapine 25mg (Canadian)
Quetiapine is an antipsychotic medicine. It works by changing the actions of chemicals in the brain.

The answer does not appear to correspond to the tablet. I know the tablet as a "sleep aid" . . . and it was prescribed as such - not an "anti-psychotic" . Is there any site which can link the description of Quetiapine to the Chevron + QT description/image. When I followed your link - I could not find a matching photo . . .
@parsanus - they lied to you. They told my mother - it was a "relaxizer".
@parsanus - you can't find a photo but plenty of official desc saying qt on one side , logo on the other.
I verified seeing it in my mom's pop up pill pack with list clearly printed on the side. I got her to stop taking it..
Thank you for that follow-up - yes, i have been able to get more information about Quetiapine Fumarate - and to confirm that's what I had. I must say - it worked extremely well and played an important role in getting me through a period of great stress - when my mind would not have otherwise let me sleep - but when sleep was critically important. It would have been extremely difficult without the Quetiapine. As it is - my supply ran out before I could replenish it - and I was able to transition into a more natural sleep. Thanks for your comment.
@pars - good - so long as you know what it is. I researched because the nursing home was trying to give it to my mom to make her more "manageable" so I got the stuff actually right here on my desk as I go through these old records etc. right now.
As soon as I told my mom what it was , she refused as was her right and then she was able to resume a normal healthy daily routine . Q. has a mortality rate of up to 180 percent for the elderly and is "black box warning" by the manufacturer themselves, as well as the FDA in USA and Health Canada.
..
But on the sheet where she asked for an explanation of all her drugs they had written "relaxizer" by the quetiapine. It's anti-psychotic drug though it may help you or not , may be best choice or not... up to you...

Quetiapine, marketed as Seroquel among other names, is an atypical antipsychotic used for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder.[6][7] It is also sometimes used as a sleep aid due to its sedating effect, but this use is not recommended.[8] It is taken by mouth.[6]. Simply got that off Wikipedia. It is prescribed to people for different reasons. I have no history of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc however do have a sleep disorder, accompanied by anxiety and depression.
