I had the same thing happened to me. The capsules worked fine for me and then when I took the pills they didn't work the same at all and for some reason they made me tired. Did they make you tired too also. .
I completely agree. I took the capsules a few years back and within a few weeks binge eating ceased and I lost 40 lbs. binging started back and I started the tablet with very small results. I'm very disappointed and want to go back on the capsules.
Yes, I would love to warn all the wonderfully unsuspecting Americans who are looking to shed a few pounds. Now that I'm out of the psychiatric ward since my downward spiral of paranoia and delusions of grandeur brought about by taking a medication called phentermine for about a year and a half. Btw child is currently in temporary custody of DcfsVDs because I trusted my doctor wouldn't prescribe me a medication that could cause a chemical imbalance in my brain. Yes, people the warnings on the little insert in the fine print along with this medication should be in bold. Unfortunately my family doctor is prescribing this stuff like candy. I can't even begin to tell you how many ladies I have ran into from my home town that have told me they are taking this medication and have been for some time. Why as a matter of fact the gal I spoke with that works at my former providers office told me she had been on this med for three years.
Great! What about when you go off of it? This is when the psychosis really begins. It is in the amphetamine family of drugs. Hello! Anyone ever heard of methamphetamine! STAY AWAY FROM IT! JUST A WARNING. You know I begged for help during my psychotic episode but because I wouldn't admit I was suicidal, and I wasn't hurting anyone else they couldn't forcebly treat me. Imagine living in your car with your three year old running from something only you can see. Fortunately my little boy was taken because I would never have forgiven myself had he been hurt in any way. Yeah all you Moms who want to lose a few baby pounds. Is it really worth the safety of the ones you love? Especially that beautiful baby you recently had! No! Nothing is more important to me than my son and I'm sure that all the loving moms out there would agree! This should be included in the insert found with phentermine...
Hello punky226. Phentermine is a drug that is intended to be taken short term. It is not meant to be stopped and then retaken only because your body will very quickly build up a tolerance to the drug. The Longer on it, faster a tolerance is built up. It is not the form (pill or capsule) of the drug, your system has built up its immunity to it in as much and that it was stopped for a time and then restarted is not a factor. Regards, pledge
I suspect that its the change in manufacturers that is the problem. The drug in each has to be exactly what it says it is, but they could have different inactive ingredients and one may absorb better then the other for you. I would tell the pharmacy that I wanted a specific form and why if I were you.
The only difference would be perhaps in the contents of the inactive ingredients, while punching the tablets, & in case of the capsules the empty gelatin shell.
