SO thankful I found this! Have been battling nausea for days... bought pepto bismol a few days ago. Well, my poo started turning black (I had no idea to even think it could be because of bismol) so I jumped on Google and started getting really worried about the results I was finding online. Then, somehow, I was linked to this forum and now it all makes sense!!
Going to stop taking pepto bismol to make sure the black poo is linked to that. Thanks again!
My stomach fully strees 'that's why I am taking upset stomach reliever... and I see my stool getting very black..can I take another one or stop???
Hi
On the pepto bismol says side effects can be black tarry schools. You can ask your pharmacist to recommend something else and I think u should see your dr about your stoach problems.
Regards and feel better
Yeah you should be able to take it again, and if you read the label on Pepto-Bismol, black stools are one of the side effects. But I would see your doctor if you continue to feel bad. Keep in mind that I am not a doctor or medical professional, I am just giving advice based on my own expirence.
Hope you feel better soon!!

Pepto Bismol is turning your stool black. It is nothing serious, yes, you can take it again but expect your stools to get black again.
It can do that, its nothing to worry about, you can take it. See also: https://www.drugs.com/mtm/pepto-bismol.html
