I got an IUD inserted on Friday and have had painful urination since Saturday. Is this a normal side affect? When I describe it to others they say it sounds like a UTI symptom but I have never had one so I don't know.
Is it normally to have painful urination after an IUD?

Hi bran74-
If the pain continues it would be best to contact a doctor to check for a UTI. Better to rule out any issues before they progress.
