I am having my grandma bring me 2mg onax from Pakistan next month because my insurance won't pay for my Xanax anymore so I just want to know will they have the same effect?
Are onax 2 mg bars just as strong as Xanax 2 mg bars?

A long, rectangular tablet that is scored through the tablet three times, allowing you to break the tablet into fourths, and the imprints “ONAX” on the top with the number “2” on the bottom is identified as Alprazolam 2mg tablets and were originally manufactured by Ocean pharmaceuticals but was later acquired by safe pharmaceuticals in Bangladesh. Being both a pharmacist and a treatment resistant and drug resistant patient, there’s not a lot that I’m able to tolerate without suffering potentially devastating ramifications. I was prescribed the ONAX 2mg tablets 4x daily (10mg/5tablet daily dosage) from mid 2011-2014 and I have had no luck getting them through any pharmacy or labeler/repackager. The modern day physicians act like I’m speaking in braille when I request the specific brand.
So I am having to alternate between the G3722 Alprazolam authorized generic by Greenstone Ltd. and the XANAX 2 tablets by Viatris/Pfizer which are the best option for the unfortunate people in the US. Unlike the US, the ONAX alprazolam is a great deal more potent, probably more as they’ve actually been given the full amount of the API whereas the FDA has been playing Russian roulette with the patients generic medications, and they are even now offering “incentives for innovative medicines that are already available” meaning that they’ve created so many loopholes that the drug manufacturers we do business with in the states are now using to their advantage, by cutting costs, falsifying their purity and efficacy trial data, and cheating the ADA, NDA And the ANDA approval process. Take generics for the quad salts for Dextroamphetamine/amphetamine (Adderall IR)
The branded original patented product is a 3:1 ratio of Dextroamphetamine and Levoamphetamine respectively, and per the FDA guidelines for the consideration for a generic product to be marketed as a “bio equivalent” it has to contain the same APIs as well as demonstrate that the bioavailability is not a significant difference between the generic and its branded counterpart with a variability ratio of less than or greater than 20 percent difference. This is not being implemented through and instead it is being manipulated by the generic drug manufacturers. There was a case not that long ago where a woman kept testing negative for all forms of amphetamine so she was going to be cut off her medication, but she said she had a feeling that this would happen eventually so she came prepared with her medication in hand and she told both her physician and his nurse to observe her taking the tablet. She waited in the waiting room for eight hours, took another urinalysis and tested negative again. She had told her physician that she had been feeling sick and almost as if she were having a heart attack, and she requested that the tablet was taken to a specialist for testing. It later came back that the amphetamine salts had been altered on a molecular level, and what’s more shocking is that the basis of the tablet consisted largely of methylphenidate (a stimulant commonly known as Ritalin or Concerta, which is used primarily for treating children and adolescents as its been proven to be not very effective in treating adults with ADHD or any subsequent disorder.
Clonazepam (generic form of Klonopin) is not considered to be a “bio equivalent or even an interchangeable substance due to the lack of potency in the tablets)
That’s why you’re beginning to see more and more complaints from patients who swear that their medication is not working properly and it’s not tolerance or addiction related. I’ve noticed that both the name brand Xanax as well as the authorized generic are always very inconsistent in their efficacy. One batch is extremely well and balanced while the very next month is absolute garbage.
One final word of caution when blindly taking any generic given to you,, before you walk out the doors of your pharmacy, check whoever the manufacturer is and do a quick google search to get more info about the company and check how many recalled products or customer complaints they’ve had. If they are a foreign brand you would be wise to hand them right back and let them know that you will only take a generic made on American soil. Though they’re not the most trusted, they at least get random audits that doesn’t give them the time to destroy or alter their corruption and direct poisoning they’re using for their products just to make a profit.
The FDA is not innocent either and are turning a blind eye on the principles that they once stood by. The pharmaceutical and health care industries are all about how much you are worth in their eyes.
I hope this both answers the initial question as well as having shed some not so great light on what we are being forced into trusting. Have yourself a safe and wonderful remainder of your weekend!
This is what it comes up as I don't know where you are from but in the USA, they have had problems with medications from 3rd world countries not being exact as what is made here under strict guidelines what it comes up with any way it would be the same. And to be safe don't take more than prescribed.this is the Internet description of the one you're asking about. Generic Name: Alprazolam
Strength: 2 mg
Manufacturer: Ocean Pharmaceuticals (Private) Ltd., Pakistan
Trade Name: Onix
Type: Antianxiety
Size (mm): 16 X 5 comes up same as Xanax 2mg be very careful anyway
but she got them from a doctor in Pakistan not just over the counter if that makes a difference
Well try it and see,Should be okay as long as she gets them from a regular pharmacy.you could even check and see if it is one the Fda has on their list as a trusted pharmacy from outside the USA But give it a try since it's you relative. anyway.
