i was on norco, a 13 day supply, ran out on day 12.. was tested day 15 & nothing showed up in my urine. i have arachnoiditis which causes over active bladder, so i go to the bathroom way more than the normal person, my urine is always so clear because of it. dr is now refusing to treat me because of a negative urine. can urinating so often result in a negative test? another test was positive for opiates when he gave mea 15 day supply,. i am at a loss. he said i have to have a nephrolgist confirm this. is this possible? i took my medication as directed except for after he gave me injections in my back, i was on the couch in extreme pain for a whole weekend, which i did take a few extra. that is why i ran out on day 12 instead of day 13.

What other drugs will affect Norco?
Before taking Norco, tell your doctor if you are using any of the following drugs:
an antidepressant such as amitriptyline (Elavil, Etrafon), clomipramine (Anafranil), imipramine (Janimine, Tofranil), and others;
an MAO inhibitor such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), rasagiline (Azilect), selegiline (Eldepryl, Emsam), or tranylcypromine (Parnate);
atropine (Donnatal, and others), benztropine (Cogentin), dimenhydrinate (Dramamine), glycopyrrolate (Robinul), mepenzolate (Cantil), methscopolamine (Pamine), or scopolamine (Transderm-Scop);
bladder or urinary medications such as darifenacin (Enablex), flavoxate (Urispas), oxybutynin (Ditropan, Oxytrol), tolterodine (Detrol), or solifenacin (Vesicare);
Added 24 Sep 2009:the drs office claimed that this urine test was the best & that it can detect up to 3 months prior. how is it out of my system from monday - thursday? i know i have bladder problems (frequesnt, very frequent urination) due to the arachnoiditis in my back.. but really, wouldn't something show up?

This is the 4th post in 3 weeks where I have seen someone who took their meds and came up negative. I really am wondering if there are some faulty testing kits out there. Usually this med stays in your sytem for at least 3 days after you stop taking it.
It is odd that you were negative for hydrocodone in that time frame. I would definately have that urine tested by a nephrologist. These guys know their urine and I mean that in nio laughing matter. If you were taking like you said and I believe you when you explained what happened then this doctor should be able to find the hydrocodone metaboliter in that urine sample. Good luck and let us know how you made out...
