Nabumetone is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug - it is also referred to as an NSAID, so I think it may help as usually it's the inflammation that causes the pain. Wouldn't hurt to try.

It's not really designed for that type of pain. Better to rinse with warm water/salt solution.
