Fioricet is for headaches. It has acetaminophen, caffeine and butalbytal which is a barbiturate. Fiorinal has aspirin but he may have thought the butalb. would help her legs relax. The side affects could b from either caffeine or butal. Ask him for somnething else since she is having problems with this. It is mainly a headache med. What are her side afffects?
Side affects are Vomiting, Stomach aches, Headaches, Dizziness, Confusion and Muscle Weakness.
She also has early signs of Alzhiemers, and has hardly any Circulation in either leg and has had 1 stint but in one leg, these 2 problems are not related to the new drugs though.
Thank You.
I'm sorry I thought you said the side affects were from the fioricet. I would immediately consult your Dr. is she is in this much distress and if he gives you any crap I would get someone else because it sounds to me like she is really suffering if she is having these side affects and you aren't sure what from. Could it be from anything else she is taking or eating. If it is the pain the aspirin would have been perfect - coumadin is suppose to be good for the blood flow but for the pain I don't want to advise because of her age and condition.
The side affects do seem to be from the Fioricet, they started almost imediately after starting this medication. I have left a message for the Doctor this morning waiting to hear back.
