My doctor said that because the strings are quite stiff at first that it would be most comfortable for my husband if we waited two weeks until the strings had softened up. I don't think it matters unless you're really sore. I'm sure your partner will let you know if there is discomfort.

I have IUD in me about last Thursday morning 2/22/18 and it is safe to have sex when I am on it we just did it today I just worried about it. I hope it won't come out
