This was the only medication that relieved my migraines fast with no side effects. Nothing else works well. NSAIDS are practically useless. Triptans make me sick. The only other thing that works is to go to the ER. and get an injection of Toradol and Benadryl. But that's not a good option anymore since I don't have a car. I tried Tencon but that's not the best thing. Sometimes it would make me feel drowsy and fall asleep but the migraine would be there waiting for me. I would like to plead with the FDA to give back the best thing that ever existed for migraines.
Why was Midrin discontinued?

I was talking it for several years when I had trouble getting it because a a supplier to the drug company was having trouble making a key ingredient. I was told this by a pharmacist and my doctor. Eventually the supplier stopped making it. I was taking Fioricet then and still am it’s the closest replacement for it, the only thing is it’s a controlled substance and some doctors don’t like to prescribe it, if you take it as prescribed you should be okay. I’ve been taking it for about 50 years and still can write okay (at least I think so) Good luck!
