This answer might be four years too late but I had the same and pattern they put me on 50 mg of metroprpol and I was having a lot of side effects then I went down to 25 mg I don’t really feel anything I feel great I think it’s a great drug it keeps me relaxed keeps my heart steady my blood pressure low once you get over the initial mindset of negative side effects it’s slowly starts helping you out but you Gotta keep going with it
Hello I take metoprolol everyday for the last 10 years. It's a great medicine really. It is very good at helping with what it's made for. My doctor takes metoprolol. I have never had one side effect and it's just amazing. My hearts working less and my rthymn is perfect. It's very well tolerated actually. I wouldn't stop it for anything. My heart rates down I am very happy with it you shouldn't not take it you will see
Take the medicine its safer that way. You're suffering while you worry about side effects. I take a lot more metoprolol than that a day and I have no side effects. That is just a list of all the things that have been reported if only by one person. That does not mean you'll get any of them and if you did you can stop taking it, its not like you're tied to it.
Hi, i think in this case the benefits outweigh the risks. There are always a long list of potential side effects to any medication, but this doesn't necessarily mean that you will be affected by any of them... The medication will help settle your palpitations, i assume this is why it was prescribed? If your doctor doesn't know how bad your palpitations have been, please give him a call today to inform him, and discuss your concerns about the medication...
I suggest you contact your Dr., anything connected to your heart like heart palpitations in this case must not go unnoticed.
