I recently started taking Abilify as a muscle relaxer. I take 3 to 4 tablets a day 500 mg. I’ve been having pain in the kidney area on both sides lately. I have been taking it for approximately two weeks. Has anyone else had an issue with this drug like that? Thanks
Methocarbamol - Can Abilify cause your kidneys to hurt if you have no known kidney problems?

Hi, Texasaaa!
Methocarbamol at the standard dosage doesn't generally cause kidney problems except it should be used cautiously in patients with existing kidney disease. Abilify can rarely contribute to kidney stones with long term use.
You should always report side effects like your pain to your doctor for a professional opinion and to rule out any other underlying cause so you might want to put in a call.
