My son suffers from migraines. He hasn't had one in over a year. He was prescribed Maxalt 10mg but it is now expired. Is it safe to take it if it's been expired for 8 months to a year?
What if Maxalt 10mg has been expired for 8 months to a year, is it safe to still take?

Yes it should be good I have taken Maxalt for many years and have taken it when it has been over 6 months expired. It maybe not as fast acting but won’t hurt you. I think that the FDA is conservative on the expiration time (and the drug co.s like that too).
I think that it will be okay. Is the pack still sealed? If so then open it and if the pill has not started to denigrate or become softer than usual then it will be okay. I was taking them for weeks at a time then not for another yesr and take another from same lot and pain disappeared almost instantly.
