I've taken it with a full, empty, and half full stomach. It seemed to work best an hour or 2 after a meal. Please be sure that you drink plenty of water after you use it, continuing on with hydration into the next day. It sucks up all of the water in your body and can easily put you in the hospital needing a fluid drip. If this is your first time using it, you need to know that (in my case at least) SEVERE cramping can occur. I've been battling chronic constipation for over 4 years and Magnesium Citrate is ALWAYS my LAST resort.
I just used this for the first 90 minutes ago. Waiting for it trying to do its job according to the directions on the bottle, supposed to take it on an empty stomach.
Is there anything you’ve found to work well for your chronic constipation? I was taking Milk of Magnesia but the large dose I now have to take for it to work gives me magnesium toxicity. Desperately searching for a new solution. Thanks!
