It depends on why you are taking lovenox. If you are taking Lovenox because you have a disease that causes you to have blood clots then you never want to go off of it even if you have surgery. If you are taking it for blood clot prevention or afib then you can go off and within a couple days you should be good. Lovenox is a low molecular heparin and is easy to control unlike regular heparin. Just be careful and check with your physician. Everyone is different. For me I can never go off of Lovenox and I take daily aspirin with no problem , but I have Lupus Antocoagulant Disease severely! Good luck!
