My bowel movements are getting progressively worse. Over the last few years i have slowly needed to go to poop more and more each day. I am now pooping around 7-8 times a day and majority of the time the toilet bowl is so full of blood it looks like beetroot water..
I then have a constant feeling of pain in my bumhole sometimes i cant even sit down :(
Heeeelppp.

Hey guys! Thought i would get back to you with my progress so it can hopefully help people in the future. Been to see my gastroenterologist, had an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Outcome? No IBD. I do have hemmheroids however and this is the cause of the excessive bleeding. I am not bleeding enough to be anemic though which is another positive!!
He has just put me on a low FODMAP diet and has told me to take a gastrostop each time i go to the toilet (up to 4 per day) and hopefully this should stop the excess pooping, in turn helping the hemherroids. He has also suggested that i see a surgeon to get bands put on said hemherroids.
:)
Anytime you have bleeding during a bowel movement, you should have it checked out by a physician. I suggest you go to Urgent Care or Emergency Dept at the hospital since the doctor cant see you any sooner. At your age, it is most likely a hemorrhoid that is bleeding from straining or cramps BUT with bleeding, pain and change in bowel movements, this may point to something much more serious plus if you are losing a lot of blood, you may be anemic. I would not recommend that you wait for the appt you have scheduled. You might try calling the doctors office and tell them what is going on and see if he can see you in a day or two OR just go ahead and see someone in Urgent Care or at the hospital Emergency Room. It really should not wait and you should have it evaluated in the next day or two at most.
Thank you very much. Ill give the doc a call on Monday
I recommend going to the hospital.
It sounds very intense. What color is the blood? Red or brown?
You should go the the hospital or ER ASAP, if this isn't a joke.. Good luck
definitely not a joke... i have been to the doctor about this before and she referred me to a surgeon... surgeon said that i was too young to be seeing him (i am 25 y.o) so he has referred me to an gastroenterologist. problem is that my appointment isnt until the 30th of this month and it is beginning to become unbearable...
colour of blood is bright red
I was thinking of a bleeding haemorrhoid maybe but gave the beach girl the points for her answer as if you can't identify the source and the Gastro person can't tell by examination it's going to require a colonoscopy.
