I don't know, but I have an original unopened bottle with a ceramic stopper, inherited from my great grandmother after she died at 100, which contents have turned blue over the years. I have owned the bottle for 50 years. It looks harmless.
Based on your question and the first answer, I'm guessing it's MC liquid? If not and its powder, it should be good. Anything that old though, just throw out and get a new one, if you really want to play it safe.
Hello, in all reality you should refer to the expiration date on the bottle. Not even the pharmacist can answer that because with all the active and inactive ingredients the manufacturer would have put an expiration date on the bottle specific to it. I mean the most that can happen is the active ingredient becomes less potent and it doesn't work so well. Do you know where you bought it can you take it back to the store or if you can't get a new bottle then you can take it and see if it's still as potent.
I believe the shelf life for this laxative is 2 years.
